Crew Leader - Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Responsibilities

▪Interacts with crew members and customers using “Tropitude” (Tropitude is our “mojo” and what makes Tropical Smoothie Café fun and different and means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere).

▪Delivers ‘Unparalleled Hospitality’ to each customer that visits our cafe.▪Knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the cafe.

▪Successfully completed the Café Basics Training Program and Certified Trainer Program.

▪Ensures each station is operating to Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s standards.

▪Trains and coaches crew members during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld.

▪Uses tools to accomplish goals, manage labor and control inventory.

▪Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a focus on food preparation and customer service.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within the hospitality or food industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems; cash handling skills are essential.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen management, and food handling procedures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively and manage conflict when necessary.
• Basic math skills for inventory control, order calculations, and financial transactions.
• Ability to work efficiently during evening shifts in a fast-paced setting; previous experience in casual dining or restaurant management is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

▪Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.

▪Bending, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash.

▪Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.

▪Safely navigate in a fast-paced cafe environment.

▪Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.
