Assistant Manager

Position Details
We are actively hiring individuals seeking full-time opportunities in management to join our fun and fast-paced team at our flagship Pizza X store on Indiana University's campus on E. 10th Street. Previous pizzeria (or relevant) experience is required for Pizza X assistant manager positions. Weekend and late-night availability are required. Applicants must possess their driver's license, car insurance, and a good driving record. Wage & Compensation
Assistant Managers at Pizza X are hourly full-time positions with further advancement opportunities through hard work and dedication. This position starts between $14.00 - $17.00 per hour.

Assistant Managers are eligible for profit-sharing opportunities (evaluated every six months). Overtime pay (1.5x wage) at 35 hours per week (opposed to 40 hours that most employers pay). Job Description
Pizza X Assistant Managers possess strong leadership and critical thinking skills in order to run a successful operation. Our managers know store operations at every-level and can perform all tasks expected of both insiders and delivery drivers. Managers are responsible for training new staff and providing on-the-job coaching as well as providing excellent customer service to our customers. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Display competencies in pizza making, order taking, and oven tending.
• Display critical understanding of maintaining customer delight.
• Display ability to maintain high product quality standards.
• Display ability to maintain acceptable delivery service times.
• Oversee operations to identify operational strengths and weaknesses to provide staff feedback.
• Show ability to motivate staff members and create a positive work environment.
• Oversee staff performance, providing training and refining when needed.
• Display understanding of store cleanliness and sanitation, and maintain high standards.
• Help maintain food and labor cost control.
• Display ability to successfully run a shift unsupervised (after proper training).
• Display ability to control cash and maintain assets.
• Display strong verbal communication skills.
• Display ability to accept and learn from constructive criticism.
• Resolving customer issues and complaints in a timely manner.
• Display a desire to continually improve.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to learn and an excellent work ethic.
• Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience managing people.
• Previous management experience in the food industry is preferred, but not required.
• Stress-management skills.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and quality standards.
• Good listening skills and the ability to learn quickly on-the-job.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work both individually and as a team member.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
