Position Details
We are actively hiring individuals seeking opportunities to join our fun and fast-paced team at One World Commissary.  One World Commissary is open Monday - Saturday from 6am until close.  The average day typically wraps up around 2pm - 3pm.  Please note that hours are based on production and that some days may end before 2pm and some may end after 3pm.  The expectation for full-time staff is that they will stay until production for the day has been completed.  Full-time staff have two days off per week.  Reliable transportation is required.

Wage & Compensation
This is an hourly position.  Raises can be achieved over time by becoming trained in specific areas within our commissary.  Goal time bonuses are paid to all staff members of One World Commissary bi-weekly based on production time goals and efforts.

All staff receive discounts on food across our family of restaurants within our enterprise (Pizza X, Hive, and One World Catering).  Other benefits include overtime pay (at 35 hours per week) and health insurance with vision and dental options for full-time staff that consistently work 30+ hours per week.

Job Description
Preparation of food for Pizza X, Lennie’s, and Hive are the main aspects of the job.  Production Team Members are responsible for prepping vegetables, making sauces, dressings or condiments, and other food prep jobs in support of these restaurants.  A typical day involves working as a team to prepare orders for each restaurant in the morning for delivery.  This generally includes making sauces, condiments, preparing vegetables, and baking a variety of goods (strom, rolls, bread, etc).  The afternoons are dedicated to the dough room where team members work collectively to tray the dough balls for our Pizza X stores.  Training for all aspects of the job will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of foods such as vegetables, sauces, condiments, dough, and baked goods.
  • Wash, peel, and cut various foods such as vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving.
  • Use manual or electric appliances to prepare foods.
  • Mix ingredients for baking, salads, sauces, and spice packets.
  • Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
  • Portion, wrap, and label prepared foods for delivery to restaurants.
  • Weigh or measure ingredients accurately.
  • Operate industrial machinery for food preparation.
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment

Requirements

  • Skills in preparing a variety of foods is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and quality standards is preferred, but not required.
  • Good listening skills and the ability to learn quickly on-the-job.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team member.
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to stay on your feet for the duration of your shift.
